She's off to great places ...

We will be celebrating Sunday June 10, 2018 We can't wait to see you all there!
Thank you for visiting us ! If you cannot make it to the actual event we invite you to please sign her guestbook at the bottom of this page!
Destiny has worked hard these past 4 years and we are pleased to announce that her sacrifices, hard work and dedication have lead to a Fall enrollment at
Northern Arizona University!

During her 4 years at Gladstone High School Destiny enjoyed playing Basketball the most. During Junior year she was elected captain and "All-Star player of the year". The following year she was able to make it to the varsity team! Basketball has been her life source, the WNBA does not know what they are missing! Our "TINY" loves the sport so much that she plans to pursue stardom as an intramural player at NAU. Destiny isn't a one trick pony, thats for sure! She was also able to pull off a few months as a member of the dance team, but in a proud moment for me, as a mother, she made the sacrificial decision to put her other responsibilities first. See she had also enrolled in AP classes and joined ASB and boy was she busy! Destiny was also a proud member of the Swim team. Destiny enjoyed High School and we can't wait to hear the wonderful stories that she will "hopefully" share from NAU where she plans to pursue a degree that will lead to a collegiate level coaching career and enrollment in the study abroad program. So please say a little prayer and cross your fingers that she can strive in college too!

on June 3, 2018I’m so proud of you! I know things have been hard and I know you’re probably a little scared as well as excited but you’re going to do great! Even though I may be far away, I will only be 6 hours and a phone call away! Even if you’re mad at me or feeling too proud or embarrassed to call to ask for my help do it because your health and safety is more important than anything else and I especially don’t ever want you to feel lonely. Which you will, I felt alone and I had you with me the whole time. College is hard, you have to work tough at the school part and the fun part, and even though parts of you don’t want to do the tough part right now, you have to. I’ve done a lot of the hardest parts for you so you wouldn’t have to, so don’t erase my hard work. Fight! Push yourself! PUT IN THE WORK! DON’T PROCRASTINATE! STUDY! IT’S HARD BUT YOU ARE TOUGH AND AMAZING! And I know you’re going to feel so amazingly proud of yourself when you finish and this road leads to rest of where you’re going. Don’t get distracted and please though, please, please make those smart choices I have always, always, always nagged you about! Your special, please see it, don’t lie to yourself! I’m sorry that even in this I’m lecturing you but something you never seem to understand is you’re my baby, MY ONLY BABY!!! And Finding that thin line between letting you make your own mistakes and saving you from the ones I made has been the hardest balancing act I have ever had to do. I tried my best to instill God in you, and I’m sorry again for the times I didn’t try and the things you have had to go through because well I let life make me a little crazy. But please always remember God is found in that places where all the people fail and no one else is left, and unfortunately you will experience it. So find him, call him, know him, and realize he’s always there waiting and loves you so much more than I ever could and that’s a whole lot because you can’t even begin to understand how much I love you! Remember Destiny, everything you face, I did it too, with you in my arms, and my knees on the ground and even though things got hard and scarred both our little hearts, we’ve come out of it all and still will, shinning like coal pressed into diamonds, little ones, but still diamonds. I love you my Lil monkey! Go climb those mountains, literally!
