Obituary
Maria Herlinda Fierro, known to her friends and family as Linda, was born on February 9, 1957 in Jalisco, Mexico. She left us to be with her husband Robert E. Fierro , brother Javier Miramontes, and grandfather Miguel Miramontes in Heaven on August 17, 2020 at 7:41 p.m.
In 2018 Linda defeated Stage-4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, however the chemotherapy and medications made her heart succumb too easily to clotting caused by Covid-19. Efforts were made to keep her safe for 5 months, despite difficulties the rehabilitation home experienced. She passed surrounded by frontline healthcare workers who have been working tirelessly and who have risked their lives to save the lives of those affected by COVID-19 and virtually surrounded by those who cherished her most in this world. Her daughter, Belinda, was also able to see her and pray over her as she left this world from a safe distance in the hospital. Despite the measures in place we live on knowing that as her spirit ascended, she could look back and see her daughter was there and she was not alone.
Linda leaves behind 3 children and 4 Grandchildren: Her Son: Omar Miramontes (44), who is the father of Francisco David, Omar de Jesus, and Mariana del Carmen. Her Daughter: Belinda Nunez (36), who is mother to Destiny Nikole. And Her Daughter: Brenda Fierro (28). Linda is also survived by her grandmother Angelina Robles, her mother and father, Ramona Diaz and David Miramontes, and 8 brothers and sisters: Doreida, Leticia, Laura, Hector, Enrique, Luz, Patricia, y Oswaldo.
Linda was an amazing cook. She left behind a legacy of recipes and a love of food in recipe books that she wrote over the years. She loved music, angels, butterflies, Tinkerbell, and her children. She had an artistic, whimsical personality full of love and creativity. She had her moments in life where things where difficult but it was in these moments where she grew and looked to God and her children for support. Those who knew her, knew she was a beautiful spirit that yearned to be free and loved too hard.
Linda was also a magnificent Seamstress and High Fashion Designer for over 30 years, she owned her own business "Linda's Fashion Design". She worked mostly out of her home so that she could be a present mother as well, but she did own a store front for several years. Eventually she began working in Beverly Hills, she was couture before couture knew what couture was. If the customer wanted it, she made it. This included wedding dresses, prom dresses, runway styles, business, casual, and everything in between. She even made clothing for a male stripper once. I still remember the day she said, "this guy wants me to make his clothes rip off easily, look!" And we laughed as she snapped apart the pants she created, in a quick pull motion. It was hilarious to say the least. She retired in 2008 knowing that she designed clothing for thousands of customers who loved her work. Recently (in 2020) a woman contacted her hoping she could make the exception and just make one more outfit; however, even if Linda had had the strength to do so she wouldn't have, because her last work of art was her daughter, Belinda's couture wedding dress (see picture below). May her soul spread its wings and soar freely.
Obituario

on September 8, 2020My cousin Linda, the memories and love you shared with my family are etched in our hearts forever! Thank you for sharing your life's most precious moments and the love for life and God that you always shared openly. You were always brave and never afraid of a challenge, that is the cousin that I remember, with all the beauty she possessed inside and out. You were the best cook I've ever known, I will never forget your pasta salad and BBQ's. The Lopez Family will miss you deeply and struggle knowing we have lost you forever. May you dance in heaven with the love of your life Bob, embrace your brother Javier and Abuelo Miguel once again and say "Hello" to my father Tony, who always remembered you and Bob's pool parties in the summer. May you find peace in God's embrace and know you will never be forgotten! Your Prima Monica Lopez XOX
